The WAKE UP AMERICA Campaign
Week of April 21st-25th
For Earth Day, student groups SEED, Orange Band and SPaCE are hosting an educational poster campaign about the all-encompassing theme of Sustainability, and how all of our service through the Union Bennion Center works towards the same goal in achieving social and environmental justice, celebrating diversity, eliminating hunger and poverty, and ecological restoration to create a healthier and better educated community.
During the last week of school, we will blanket the lawn outside the Union Building, sporting re-used campaign posters with the prompt "WAKE UP, AMERICA!...MAKE THE CONNECTION!".
If you'd like to contribute, come down to the Bennion Center and pick up one of the prepared posters. Share a creative message or image that conveys trends or issues important to you and help emphasize that to foster a more sustainable future, we need to holistically address the complex interconnections between all these issues.
This may only take 30 minutes, but will bring lasting awarenss at the U. Make one or more!!!!Deadline for submission: Friday April 18 by 5:00 p.m
Contact SEED Program Director Alex Parvaz if you have any questions.
