Retrofits at the U of U
Over the last 7 years, Plant Operations has been busy installing new technologies all over campus!
- Install motion sensor light switches
- Day light sensors for hallway lights installed
- Changed out incandescent for compact fluorescent light bulbs
- Switched inefficient T-12 light bulbs for more efficient T-8 or T-5 bulbs
- Painted walls white to increase lighting efficiency
- Replaced old light fixture ballasts
- Installed new chillers and efficient fan systems
The project was the largest ever taken on by a higher educational institution in the United States!
