Q: What does the U of U do for indoor plumbing water use and efficiency?
A: Although there are many opportunities for improvement, the Plant Operations director and his staff work to improve water efficiency during building maintenance, retrofits, and new construction.
There are some waterless urinals in the Law Building and Gardner Hall on on campus. As toilets are replaced, the U also retrofits with lower-volume models.
As new buildings are planned, more efficient fixtures are installed throughout the building.
