This year at the University of Utah, the Office of Sustainability and a number of student groups have joined together to plan a huge array of activities to celebrate Earth Week.

Friday April 18th1)EarthFest. 9 am- 2 pm. Officers Circle at U of U. 100 elementary students will come to the U of U to learn about the environment, sustainability issues and their chance to make a positive impact! Come help volunteer any time from 8:45am - 1:30pm. Tuesday, April 22Preseident Young will unveil the University’s new co-generation plant! 11 a.m. at the HTW Building, located east of the Utah Museum of Fine Arts. The new co-generation plant will provide campus with both hot water and electricity from the same facility. By combining these processes, we eliminate more than 68,000 metric tons of carbon dioxide per year that might otherwise have been released into our atmosphere. Tours of the plant will be available immediately after the ribbon cutting. |

Thursday May 1st- Saturday 3rd"What goes around, comes around" End of year Collection for campus residence halls.
