Dr. Doug McKenzie-Mohr is a world-renowned environmental psychologist who has developed community-based social marketing as an effective tool for positive change. His approach was recently profiled in the article Monkeying with the Message in Plenty Magazine. A recent article by John Tierney in the New York Times discusses the power of social norming for energy conservation, one example of this approach.
