Campus Sustainability Network
The Network is a large working group that welcomes and solicits input from the U of U community regarding the OS strategic plan, new/ongoing initiatives, and issues of campus sustainability. The Network helps the OS staff to learn how to incorporate the interests and concerns of the campus community into their sustainability efforts. Communication within the group is facilitated electronically. The Network is managed by the Sustainability Coordinator and meets several times each academic year. Please consider joining the Network and contributing your thoughts to campus sustainability!
Office of sustainability steering committee
The Steering Committee supports the efforts of OS staff by acting as a sounding board for ideas, helping to prioritize actions, instigating new initiatives, delivering information and reviewing work products. The Steering Committee comprises U of Utah students, staff, faculty, and administrators and representatives of the local community. The OS Director manages the operations of the Steering Committee and is the Committee Chair. The committee meets several times per semester. Please contact the OS Director if you are interested in serving on this committee.
President's sustainability Advisory board
The President's Sustainability Advisory Board provides guidance for the OS staff, reviews policy recommendations to be forwarded to the U of Utah President, and ensures that the actions of the OS are efficiently moving the U of U campus towards a more sustainable future. The Advisory Board comprises U of Utah students, staff, faculty, and administrators.
Sustainability Curriculum Development Committee
The goal of the Sustainability Curriculum Development Committee is to coordinate sustainability-related courses and instructors at the U. The committee comprises faculty and program administrators. Student representatives are encouraged to attend meetings and participate in discussion.
